ODELLO was created by a team of established post-secondary English language educators on a mission to make English language learning more accessible and relevant. Meet the team below!

ODELLO Module Educators

AMIT DAHAN

ODELLO EDUCATOR

Amit Dahan has been involved in English language instruction and curriculum development since a backpacking trip became a teaching gig way back in the late nineties. Since then, he’s taught students of all levels, both in Canada and abroad. With a special interest in exploring the intersection of active experience and language acquisition, Amit founded Active Language Lab in 2015. Amit is currently teaching at Seneca College.

PATRICIA GLOGOWSKI

ODELLO EDUCATOR

Patricia Glogowski has an MA in Applied Linguistics and a TESOL Certificate from the University of Toronto. She has been teaching English as a Second Language at colleges and universities for over 20 years. She learned English from a textbook with black-and-white pictures. She is amazed that now you can learn English online.

BRETT REYNOLDS

ODELLO EDUCATOR

Brett Reynolds is a professor of TESL and EAP at Humber College. He started teaching English in 1992 in Japan and has taught in Canada since 2003. He is past editor of TESL Ontario’s Contact magazine and co-author of A student’s introduction to English grammar.

PEGAH SOLTANI

ODELLO EDUCATOR

Pegah Soltani is currently an EAP professor at Seneca College. I am passionate about teaching and have a master’s degree in TESL. Pegah has taught in various colleges and universities and also spent a summer teaching English in China. In her free time, I enjoy playing sports and practicing martial arts.

David Sani is currently a contract instructor at Seneca College. He has a Ph.D. in TESL and has been teaching for over 20 years

ODELLO PROJECT LEADER

Stephen is the Associate Dean of the Centre for Education, Language and Professional Practice at Humber College, Toronto. He is also a researcher in the field on online education and instructional technologies and platforms.

JESSE BLACK-ALLEN

ODELLO PROJECT LEADER

Jesse is an educator and administrator with 15 years of experience. He has taught English, ESL, EAP, and TESL (language teacher training). He holds an MA in Second Language Education from the University of Toronto, and a TESL Certificate from York University. .

DARREN  BRYANT

ODELLO EDUCATOR

Darren has been teaching English in Canada and numerous countries around the world for almost 20 years. He holds an MEd in Education & Technology from Ontario Tech University. Alongside teaching, he is also the founder of Limberlost Films and works with clients across North America to create promotional films, music videos, educational films and documentaries. He is glad that he is now able to combine these two skill sets to create the ODELLO series

CAROLINE MURACA

UX-DESIGN CONSULTANT

Caroline is a UX freelance designer based in the Toronto area. She has an academic background in linguistics and psychology and a post-graduate certificate in user experience design. Her goal as a designer is making simple digital experiences for all accessibilities. When she isn’t designing online experiences she enjoys reading, exploring Toronto with friends, and LEGO!

HAMZA IBRAHIMI

WEB DEVELOPER

Hamza is a front-end web developer at Humber College, and a freelance designer for a variety of businesses. He has an advanced diploma in web design and interactive media and is well versed in php, node, html, css, javascript, and jquery – to name a few! When he is not building online experiences he enjoys skating, skiing, soccer, tennis and the occasional Office episode.
